Carolyne Ash

Director of Justice, Equity, DIversity and Inclusion, she/her

Carolyne is deeply committed to helping communities and institutions create collaborative, equity-based, and values-driven change. She has 16 years of experience within the nonprofit and social change sector focused on strategic planning, program development and management, fund development, training and facilitation, as well as extensive community organizing and advocacy experience. In her work at Point b(e) Strategies, she blends her social work lens and nonprofit experience to facilitate justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion-centered strategic planning, change management, and culture-focused efforts, and she enjoys partnering with clients to identify and address nuanced challenges that drive toward greater accessibility and belonging for staff, boards and the communities they work within. Carolyne previously served on the board of directors for Community Shares of Colorado, Urban Servant Corps, and Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries. In addition to her work at Point b(e) Strategies, Carolyne teaches social justice-related coursework through the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. 

Carolyne holds a Bachelor of Arts in women's studies and international studies from the University of Iowa and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan focused on community organizing and nonprofit management. 

Carolyne lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, with her wife and daughter, and she spends her free time wrangling her daughter and puppy and tackling a never-ending list of home improvement projects.
