When the Piggy Bank Feels Empty – Strategic and Strengths-Based Fund Development Planning
If you are an executive director, development director, or other staff person responsible for fundraising for your organization, you know that 2025 has been a WEIRD year for fundraising. Whether or not your organization has been directly impacted by changes in the federal funding landscape, the reduction of federal dollars flowing into the social change sector— along with diminishing individual, foundation, and corporate donations—has created funding vacuums for many organizations. If you are finding that your organization is in need of more creative approaches to fund development planning—this training series is for you!
Over the course of three, 3-hour virtual trainings, we will:
Explore and establish your organization’s financial baseline - What’s been happening with your revenue and expenses this year? How sustainable are you in the current environment?
Reaffirm or reevaluate your organization’s unique value proposition (UVP) – Why do you do what you do in the way that you do it? Does your work still uniquely meet community needs?
Discuss band-aid solutions and how to avoid them - Are you relying on quick fixes that are only temporary solutions? We can help you find a better approach.
Explore strengths-based approaches to revenue diversification – What might work for YOU and your organization?
Help you build a fund development plan that leverages your strengths and highlights the unique value of your organization—and that is grounded in a spirit of abundance – Are you ready to strengthen your organization’s long-term sustainability?
In addition to learning alongside a consistent cohort and delving into content developed specifically to help fundraisers meet this moment, you will receive up to four hours of individual technical assistance and coaching from experts at Point b(e) Strategies. You can use the time to talk through fundraising strategies, receive feedback on your fund development plan, and/or experience coaching from a seasoned fundraiser or other executive.
You will leave this training series with a better understanding of your organization’s financial situation, clarity on how your organization’s UVP impacts fundraising, a clear fund development plan, and new strengths-based strategies to ramp up your fundraising.

This Sh!t is Hard! Navigating Leadership, Decision-Making, and Radical Reimagination
Y’all, I knew 2025 would be a doozy for social change leaders, but I certainly didn’t know just how bonkers it would be! The policy, programmatic, and funding landscapes seem to change in the blink of an eye, the employment landscape has been just as volatile, access to financial resources remains unpredictable, and still community needs continue to grow. As usual, the nonprofit sector is being asked to do impossible things, and organizational leaders are showing up with grit, resilience, patience, and grace. This sh!t is hard—but it’s also presenting an opportunity for a new world to emerge from this one. What would it look like to provide leadership that results in a radically reimagined approach to social change?
If you are an organizational leader who is looking for a community of support and opportunities for tangible skill-building, join us for this three-part workshop series where we will:
Dig into your leadership superpowers and explore how you can leverage those superpowers to continue leading authentically
Explore the needs of your staff, board, and community, and think through meaningful ways to meet those needs through your approach to leadership
Deepen your understanding of values-based and appropriately inclusive decision-making
Identify and discuss the impacts of decision-making—from disappointment and disagreement to relief and trust
Examine internal communication structures at your organization—what’s helping and what’s hindering?
Create opportunities for radical reimagination of your work and the sector as a whole through leadership, decision-making, and communication
In addition to these highly informative sessions—where you’ll learn and grow with a cohort of peers—you will receive up to four hours of individualized coaching from the Point b(e) Strategies team. Coaching sessions can be used to help you tackle your most pressing challenges, to troubleshoot specific decisions, to discuss communication plans, or for any other reason! We can’t wait to co-create a different future for all of us!
