What a Year it’s Been..

By Meghan Camp and Laura McGarry

‘Twas a year of great hurdles—infuriating and huge

But at Point b(e) Strategies, you’ll find nary a Scrooge

This season, we reflect on the months that have passed

And share stories of progress from the full Point b(e) Strategies cast

In community and in offices, we tinkered away

To support our dear partners in fighting the fray

Melanie saw support for direct cash assistance grow

While evaluating the impact of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado

Off in Kenya, Julia led RefugePoint’s 150-person retreat

And in Denver, saw her third cohort of the Women’s Leadership Lab graduate

Nancy learned the world of disaster recovery

Through her evaluation work with Center for Disaster Philanthropy

After working in the sector for 20-plus years

Dee saw numerous rising mentors progress in their careers

Meghan kept the team’s strategy on track and on pace

And proudly saw our accomplishments take shape in every space

Danny directed our internal learning

Where our team shared their knowledge to keep our wheels turning

Through facilitating Housing Colorado’s strategic plan,

Laura learned about housing needs and partners across a statewide span

Our internal design maven, Melissa, you will see

Created new templates to elevate our brand identity

Zane saw connections grow in depth and in size

Through our leader convenings: Gather and Galvanize

Libby saw growth and success in oh so many ways

As they supported four strategic plans across every phase

Our intern, Jenn, started the year off with a bang

Earning a bachelor’s in social work, then joining the gang

Jamie added a tiny human to the world and kept our schedules on lock

She brought her financial wisdom even when off the clock

With hope in our hearts and change on our minds, we look forward to starting a new year

And we’re grateful to all who show up again and again; your courage keeps our vision clear
